The Joy of Small Moments
The Joy of Small Moments
As I've gotten older, I've realized that happiness doesn't usually come from the big things.
It comes from the small moments.
A morning cup of coffee. A walk outside. A favorite song. A good conversation with a friend. Watching a grandchild grow up.
Yesterday, my granddaughter Isabella graduated from high school. It feels like just yesterday she was a little girl running around the studio. Seeing her reach this milestone reminded me how quickly life moves.
Sometimes we're so busy worrying about what's next that we forget to enjoy what's happening right now.
Research shows that gratitude can improve our mood, reduce stress, and even support better health. One of the simplest things we can do each day is pause and notice what is already good in our lives.
This month, I invite you to try something simple:
At the end of each day, write down three things you're grateful for.
They don't have to be big.
A beautiful sunset.
A kind smile.
A dance with a friend.
The more we notice the good, the more joy we begin to see everywhere.
Until next time, be kind to yourself and remember that every day offers a new opportunity to begin again.
With love,
Carmen 💖
